Cochlear Nordic SSD workshop
Cochlear Nordic SSD workshop
This online workshop is a follow-up to the Cochlear Nordic SSD Symposium held in Stockholm in December 2024. One of the main conclusions from the symposium was that when considering CI in SSD, it is imperative to choose the right patients. But who exactly are the right patients? The aim of this workshop is to work together towards an answer.
Date: 8th May 2025
Time:
13:00-15:00 GMT (Iceland)
14:00-16:00 CEST (Sweden, Norway, Denmark)
15:00-17:00 EEST (Finland)
This workshop will be held via Microsoft Teams.
The target audience is professionals involved in CI candidacy and treatment.
Program
The program consists of short presentations on recent progress in local clinical approaches, case studies, and work in groups aiming to produce a clinical support tool to help SSD candidate assessments. The clinical tool aims to document the key aspects to consider with this patient group, versus so-called traditional CI candidates:

• Pre-operative counselling
• Post-operative evaluation and counselling
